    Description

    Role Description

    o The ideal candidate should have seven to eight years post qualification experience in contract/commercial law, preferably within in Engineering, IT/Telecom engineering services industry.

    o Prior experience with a multi-national company and/or top law firm is preferred.

    o The focus of the role will be to manage commercial contractual issues, legal matters for LTTS.

    o This position will require regular liaison with all internal departments as well as customer/supplier facing.

    o This position will require the individual to handle a team of approx. 2 resources.

    Key Duties

    o Drafting, vetting, reviewing, negotiating agreements, amendments, other legal documents including agreements for HR, procurement, relating to engineering, telecom, IT sector, lease agreements and other agreements with a good understanding of risks.

    o Working in close co-ordination with legal, technical, HR, Admin, Finance, Procurement and other departments, external Legal Counsels.

    o To examine and summarise customer MSA, NDA, MOU, End User Licensing Agreement, Subcontractor/Vendor Agreement, RFP etc. at the global level.

    o Be conversant with GDPR, global data privacy laws and regulations.

    o Handle litigation matters as and when the need arises.

    o Advising and assist key departments on all contractual matters and be a strategic advisor to the business.

    o To draft alternative clauses where necessary.

    o To negotiate with vendors, customers agreements in conjunction with front end/sales teams.

    o Regular training of user teams on executed contracts, contract compliance.

    o In depth detailed research on various legal issues/projects.

    o Update contract database/Legal Repository.

    o Manage team under him/her ~ 2 – resources to manage above tasks.

    o Handling general administrative duties.

    o Abreast with technology and technology applications in legal field.

    Person Specification

    Essential:

    o Degree in Law from a renowned law school plus 7 -8 years post qualification experience in contract/commercial law and contract management.

    o Excellent written and verbal communication skills and drafting skills.

    o Experience in dealing with external customers/clients.

    o Ability to manage and prioritise heavy and variable workload and manage team.

    o Proven accuracy and attention to detail.

    o Ability to read contracts quickly and determine salient points.

    o Enthusiastic and hard-working.

    o Good negotiation skills to deal with internal departments and for future external contact.

    o Knowledge of engineering, telecom/IT sector.

    o Experience in global or multicultural company

    o Ability to handle a team.
