    Corning Data Engineer, Analytics

    Scope of Position:

  • The Data Engineer, Analytics position entails overseeing Corning Life Sciences' data lake architecture to support centralized analytics efforts. Joining our dynamic analytics center of excellence, you will utilize data engineering, statistics, and machine learning to identify growth opportunities for our billion-dollar business. This role is based in Gurugram, India.

    • Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering roles, including ETL pipeline development in on-premise or cloud-based data lake environments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Apache Spark for data ingestion

    • Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Apache Spark, S3, parquet, and Delta Lake architecture
  • Experience with agile software development, CI/CD methodologies, Git, and Jira
  • Proficiency in enterprise ETL and integration tools such as Informatica and Mulesoft
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills

    • Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain big-data ingestion pipelines
  • Collaborate with data source teams to define and implement requirements
  • Develop data transformation processes
  • Participate in code reviews and technical sharing sessions
  • Implement data governance processes
  • Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements
  • Offer support in a DevOps environment

    • Desired Experience / Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS technologies
  • Knowledge of Databricks Platform, PowerBI, Tableau, or SAS JMP
