Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake (5+ Years Experience)


Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data platform on Snowflake, ensuring efficient and reliable access to data for analysis and decision-making.

This role requires a unique blend of expertise in data engineering, data analysis, and DevOps practices.


Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable and performant data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from various sources into Snowflake.

Develop and maintain data models that optimize data storage, access, and querying performance.

Utilize DevOps best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the data platform infrastructure.

Perform data profiling and quality checks to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract meaningful insights from data.

Troubleshoot and debug data ingestion and processing issues.

Document technical processes and design decisions for future reference.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Snowflake and data engineering technologies.

Conduct exploratory data analysis and identify key trends and patterns.

Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity.


Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

Extensive experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, pipelines, security, and performance optimization.

Strong SQL proficiency with experience in writing complex queries.

Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., Fivetran, Airflow).

Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes).

Understanding of data quality principles and practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Problem-solving and analytical skills.
