Introduction:

This role will hold responsibility for working closely with Product Control Line team in identifying processes in the Daily & Month-end P&L and Balance Sheet that are carried out manually.

The Alteryx Specialist is also required to identify thematic functional processes cutting across Asset Class that can be standardized and automated using Alteryx Workflow.

The Specialist has to document the requirements, design the Alteryx Workflow, perform unit testing, migrate the Workflow to Sandbox, assist in User Acceptance Test, liaise to obtain VP sign off

and work with Technology team to migrate the Workflow to Alteryx Production Server.

What will you be doing?


The Finance SME Team Alteryx Specialist is accountable for automating the manual processes and coordinate for Decommissioning the End User Developed Applications (EUDAs).

This includes working with various internal teams / stakeholders to deliver automation, and ensuring appropriate governance and control through execution.


  • Coordinating with Product Control team to determine process requirements
  • Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development and testing
  • Design and develop workflows in Alteryx with high efficiency and faster turnaround time
  • Developing reusable macro components
  • Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards
  • Perform end to end Data validation
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows

What we're looking for:

  • Skilled in the use of data analysis and automation (Alteryx, Python etc. ) & presentation software tools; able to extract and understand the underlying picture from a wealth of complex data
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Excel including macros is preferred
  • Understanding of Product Control / Financial Control or Finance related processes
  • Understanding of and exposure to project management disciplines and techniques / Full project lifecycle processes
  • Ability to work in a virtual team and work without supervision for long periods of time
  • Pragmatic rather than idealistic outlook
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Business & Data analysis for thematic representation of automation use case
  • Academic and professional qualifications that may include CA / CFA / Masters in Finance / Financial Engineering would be an advantage
  • Good Experience ranging with operations strategy/ line management roles in financial institutions, consulting or technology companies or programme/ change management roles in other industries
  • Experience in implementing Business Process Management and associated tools
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines in a fastmoving environment
  • Experience in working with complex, interdependent process frameworks
