    Job Description :


    As an Oracle Apps DBA within our Support organization, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive support to Oracle EBS customers hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

    You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of Oracle EBS applications for our clients.


    Key Responsibilities :

    Oracle EBS Support :

    • Provide technical support and assistance to Oracle EBS customers, addressing their queries, issues, and concerns promptly and effectively.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any performance, functionality, or configuration issues encountered by Oracle EBS users on OCI.

    OCI Administration :

    • Manage and administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments hosting Oracle EBS applications.
    • Monitor OCI resources, including compute instances, storage, databases, and networking components, to ensure optimal performance and availability.

    Database Management :

    • Perform routine database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Oracle databases supporting EBS instances.
    • Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

    Backup and Recovery :

    • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical EBS data and ensure business continuity.
    • Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness and reliability.

    Performance Tuning :

    • Analyze and optimize the performance of Oracle EBS applications and databases on OCI.
    • Identify and address performance bottlenecks through SQL and PL/SQL tuning, indexing, and other optimization techniques.

    Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

    • Document support activities, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures to build a knowledge base for future reference.
    • Share insights and best practices with team members to enhance collective expertise and efficiency.

    Required Skills and Qualifications :

    • 28 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with a focus on providing support to Oracle EBS customers.
    • Proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration and management.
    • Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write and troubleshoot basic queries and scripts.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    • Knowledge in SQL / PLSQL Stored Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Functions, Complex Queries using joins from multiple tables
    • Added Advantage : Oracle cloud Architecture, It is an advantage if candidate has the handson or concept.
