Provide overall EHS support to the India business units in collaboration with corporate and local business unit leaders.
• Develop and implement a safety-oriented strategy across the India region and measure, report and achieve key metric goals.
• Develop specific EHS objectives and create actions plans to meet those objectives.
• Maintain, review and report EHS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required.
• Manage and respond to local country EHS audits and inspections.
• Obtain, maintain and comply with all regulatory required EHS permits, certificates, consents and documents.
• Create a proactive approach to EHS through cross functional cooperation, communication and training.
• Develop, deliver and/or coordinate EHS training and training tools.
• Integrate and partner with business leaders to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct internal EHS audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement and manage site-specific EHS programs to ensure regulatory and corporate standards are effectively integrated into standard operating procedures.
• Develop new hire orientation outlining Rexnord's high expectations regarding EHS regulations.
• Implement a consistent incident investigation process utilizing "5-Why" root cause analysis and ensure appropriate countermeasures are properly identified to prevent reoccurrence.
• Assist in the development or deployment of a behavior-based safety program.
• Ensure timely coordination of all regulatory or Rexnord required testing and training is completed, including industrial hygiene testing.
• Provide support for the attainment and management of international accreditations (OHSAS 18001, ISO

Job Specification: (Education, Training and Experience) :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational safety, environmental science or a closely related field.
• 5-7 years of experience managing EHS in a manufacturing environment and minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory capacity
• He has to be an Engineer
• Strong record showing demonstrated success in partnering with key business leaders in managing and improving overall EHS performance.
• Must have exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including a high degree of judgment, diplomacy and ability to influence others.
• Must possess a theoretical and practical knowledge of India regulatory standards.
• High knowledge of current safety and loss control practices is essential.

Competencies / Skills :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Adequate Knowledge of Telugu and the language spoken by majority of workmen
• Must be able to effectively communicate safety and environmental procedures in training.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be fluent in English both written and verbal.
• Effective leadership and management skills.

Incumbent will be appointed on the rolls of Euroflex Transmissions India Private Limited.
