Description:


Being part of Faurecia Industrial Design, in the team of Design Quality, you will take part to the advanced projects as a studio engineer and to the development project as a perceived quality designer.

Purpose of the job:


As Studio Engineer, you will be the technical reference in all our advanced design projects and you will bring the end-user perception in the development of a product.


Responsibilities:


Core responsibilities

  • Support Industrial design/ Innovation properties development Studio.
  • Contribute to the fueling of new ideas/ concepts
  • Support engineering feasibility activities inside studio
  • Verify design and packaging feasibility.
  • Lead/ realise the proof of concepts
  • Support overall properties realisation
  • Continuously develop the knowledge about the industry, production methods and materials, supporting discussions surrounding new techniques and concepts

In charge of Perceived Quality

  • Contribute to perceived quality process during RFQ, development and PPAP (Validation and acceptance) phasis
  • Monitor the product evolution through risks assessment and creation of solution either styling or technical wise during design phase
  • Develop customer Intimacy
  • Develop new business using PQ expertise as door opener
  • Develop worldwide training cessions
Capability to balance personal and professional life

Willingness to travel frequently


Qualifications:


Education:


  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Has a degree or has a very good awareness in design

Experience:

  • More than years in automotive industry or plastics industry
  • 5 to 10 years as a studio engineer
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written and visual

Technical skills:

  • Should understand Design Best Practices, Engineering Feasibility, and have excellent CAD skills
  • High level of 3D geometry creation, surfacing, solids.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work to cross functional teams
  • Ability of understanding Design intention and can support Modeller & Designer to avoid unfeasible mistake during 2D transferring to 3D phase;
  • Interest / awareness towards technologies used to support HMI. (ergonomic and logical usage of technology)
  • Expert understanding of Materials and their properties including Plastic, Textile, Vinyl, Paint, Décor finishes
  • Expert comprehension of Production methods and Production Processes
