Job Description:

Good communication skills, oral and written combined with superb interpersonal skills. -Ability to write complex Teradata SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions. -Extensive experience in Performance Monitoring, identifying bottlenecks, error, exception. -Handling tuning of Stored Procedures, Joins, macros, long running queries.

-Should have knowledge of Performance Data Collection and Reporting (PDCR) and Database Query Logging (DBQL) -Expertise with maintaining and using all the Teradata tools (Load Utilities, MVC, BTEQ, SQL Assistant, Teradata Database Administration Tools, Teradata Viewpoint, Teradata BAR DSC) -UNIX/Linux knowledge (demonstrated knowledge of the operating system commands and fundamentals of Linux scripting) -Good knowledge in Shell scripting and using them to automate jobs, prepared several automations jobs specific to Admin activities in EDW platform.

-Backup, restore, migrate Teradata data and objects. -Perform Mentor role for junior DBA team members -Team skills -Flexible for Support shifts including weekends ( 16 X 5 and 24 X 2)
