    Description

    Overview:

    The CommunityMedicine Associate/Assistant Professor plays a crucial role ineducating and training medical students in public health practicescommunity medicine and preventive healthcare. They are responsiblefor imparting knowledge and skills necessary for diagnosingtreating and preventing diseases at a community level. Additionallythey contribute to medical research and collaborate with healthcareorganizations to improve public healthoutcomes.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Develop and deliverlectures tutorials and practical demonstrations for medicalstudents
    • Conduct research in public health andcommunity medicine
    • Supervise and mentor medicalstudents interns and residents in clinical practice and researchprojects
    • Design and implement community healthprograms and initiatives
    • Evaluate and assessthe performance of medical students and contribute to curriculumdevelopment
    • Collaborate with local healthcareorganizations and community leaders to address public healthissues
    • Participate in disease surveillance andcontribute to epidemiological studies
    • Conductpublic health campaigns and awarenessprograms
    • Participate in accreditation andquality improvement activities
    • Provide clinicalcare and consultation in community healthsettings
    • Contribute to administrative andcommittee responsibilities within the medicalcollege
    • Stay updated with advancements incommunity medicine and public healthpractices
    • Participate in faculty developmentactivities and continuous medicaleducation
    • Engage in scholarly activities suchas publishing research articles and presenting atconferences
    • Ensure compliance with regulatorystandards and ethicalpractices

    RequiredQualifications:

    • MD or DO degree inCommunity Medicine or related field
    • Boardcertification in Community Medicine or PublicHealth
    • Minimum 3 years of clinical experiencein community medicine or public healthpractice
    • Evidence of scholarly activity such aspublications and research projects
    • Experiencein teaching and mentoring medical students interns orresidents
    • Proficiency in statistical analysisand research methodology
    • Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills
    • Experience in designing and implementingcommunity health programs
    • Knowledge ofepidemiological methods and diseasesurveillance
    • Understanding of healthcareaccreditation and quality improvementprocesses
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversityequity and inclusion in healthcare
    • Ability towork collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcareteam
    • Licenses or certifications as required bythe state or institution
    • Strong organizationaland administrative skills
    • Ability to adapt to adynamic academic and clinicalenvironment
