Introduction
As a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients' success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services.

This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.


Your Role and Responsibilities
Aix admin are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients.

As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network.

Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource data.

You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.


Responsibilities:


  • This role is an individual contributor responsible for onsite installation, maintenance and repair of IBM logo hardware, software and operating systems.
  • Primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client.
  • Advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may impact product performance or impair client's IT operation.
  • Perform services activities such as systems assurance, installation planning, account management, systemslevel problem determination, discontinuance and relocation of IBM systems and products.
  • Accountable to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery, technical support and operational services for the client account(s).
  • When critical situations occur, will be the IBM technical interface to clients and manage the situation until the problem is fixed.
  • Needs to have a thorough understanding of, and are able to articulate, IBM's technical support strategy.
  • Experience on cloud, OSS, Redhat Linux will be preferred
  • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Min 13 years of experience with experience in the following areas:
  • Knowledge of risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms.
  • Expertise of OS Clustering, Partitioning and virtualisation.
  • Hands on experience for managing daytoday AIX Operating System installation, migration and breakfix support.
  • Knowledge of SAN S/W & Storage Administration and integration with Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of HACMP clustering, VIOS implementation.
  • System P Hardware installation and Break fix supports.
