About the Client


Our Client is a leading hospitality company in Oceania Region with 40+ years of association with global hotel brands including IHG, Accor & Hilton.


Their investment & expertise range from Construction, Ownership & Management of diverse hospitality assets such as Hotels, Event Centres, Serviced & Residential Apartments.


About the Role
The Financial Controller will own and deliver the month end financials and management reports. He/she will oversee the day to day Accounting Operations including Accounts Payable, Receipts, Reconciliations, GL & Reporting.


The primary responsibility is to close & report of the books of accounts in an accurate, timely and efficient way.

As the gatekeeper of month end closing and reporting function, he/she will be expected establish and ensure adherence to various accounting and reporting controls.


KRAs

Accounting & Reporting

  • Establish cutoff dates for receipt & processing of financial information from vendors, internal departments & by internal processing teams
  • Ensure that all financial information is received, posted, reconciled & reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Draft provisional entries for accruals, prepayments, period closing & consolidation and post them on approval.
  • Preparation of draft financial statements & consolidated accounts for Management review
  • Supporting in budgeting and forecasting activities including its revisions
  • Analysing and reporting variances as part of monthly reporting
  • Own the financial reporting calendar and continuously challenge and improve the reporting benchmarks for timeline and accuracy.

Controllership Activities

  • Mitigate Financial risks by establishing, reviewing & maintaining i various financial controls
  • Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting. Ensure that all process checks are performed without exception.
  • Grasping the possibilities and limitations of the accounting platform to improve its usage from access, controls & automation perspectives.

Operation Management

  • Lead & motivate a 810 member Accounting team.
  • Hiring & Training of new Team Members.
  • Reviewing & revising SOPs on timely basis
  • Set up and regularise monthly MIS for Outsourced Accounting function

Required:


  • 68 years of core finance experience of which 34 years as Accounts Manager or Chief Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of the Accounting Platforms & Technology in use
  • Good experience working on cloud based/ERP platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel functionalities and power usage

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Qualifications:


  • CAs with 34 years' experience or CA intermediate with 68 years of experience

Salary:
₹700, ₹900,000.00 per year
