    Description

    The organization is a worldwide leader in insurance technology and is currently searching for a Desktop Engineer to join our Corporate IT team.

    This role will be responsible for building out and maintaining our end-user computing. The role will have a heavy focus on automation and utilization of cloud-based technologies to manage our endpoints.     Essential Functions

    Architect and Design:

    • Develop and implement end-client architecture solutions based on industry best practices.
    • Design, configure, and optimize Windows and macOS environments to meet organizational needs.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for client architecture designs.

    Technology Expertise:

    • Proficient in macOS operating system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • Extensive experience with Kandji or JAMF Pro for macOS management and deployment.
    • In-depth knowledge of SCCM and Intune for Windows client management.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to end-client environments.

    Security and Compliance:

    • Implement security best practices in end-client environments.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Provide advanced support for end-client architecture-related issues.
    • Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.

    Financial Responsibilities:

    • Provide quotes for purchasing related software/solutions.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team.
    Key Performance Outcomes

    • Completing projects within the designated time frame
    • Comply with all policies and procedures defined by Change Management.
    • Complete Organization projects and change requests according to schedule, minimizing or eliminating human error, downtime, or financial concessions.
    • Reported issues are managed in a timely, efficient manner with appropriate escalations internally across teams and functions.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 5 years of proven experience as an End Client Architect, Desktop Engineer, or similar role.
    • Strong expertise in macOS, JAMF/Kandji, SCCM, and Intune, including:
    • OS Provisioning
    • Patch management
    • SW/OS update packaging and deployment
    • Mac OS troubleshooting
    • Windows 10/11 troubleshooting
    • Experience with Intune/AAD/O365.
    * knowledge & experience with enterprise networks, wired & wireless networking.

    • Experience with documentation for client architecture designs and processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
