    Description

    Skill Required:

    Must Haves:

    • Ab-Initio continues flow, ETL, and Scripting.

    Good to Have:

    • Data warehousing, Programming, Production support, SQL, Splunk, JMS queues.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio development.
    • Proficiency in designing and developing Ab Initio graphs and plans.
    • Expertise in scripting languages such as Shell or Perl.
    • Strong understanding of ETL concepts and best practices.
    • Experience with data modelling and data warehousing.
    • Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying.
    • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and their integration with Ab initio.
    • Implement and optimize Ab Initio ETL processes for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Integrate and leverage cloud-native services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
    • Ensure seamless and efficient cloud integration with Ab Initio solutions.
    • Establish and maintain effective connectivity between Ab Initio and cloud platforms.
    • Implement secure and scalable solutions for data movement between on-premises and cloud environments.
    • Ability to analyze and optimize Ab Initio code for performance improvements.
    • Experience with performance tuning of ETL processes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to contribute positively to team discussions and decisions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics or Engineering and / or equivalent formal training or work experience.
    • Seven (7) years equivalent work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative
    • Business problem solving, simulation development and / or predictive analytics.
    • Extensive knowledge in data engineering and machine learning frameworks including design, development and implementation of highly complex systems and data pipelines.
    • Extensive knowledge in Information Systems including design, development and implementation of large batch or online transaction-based systems.
    • Strong understanding of the transportation industry, competitors, and evolving technologies.
    • Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
