Society for Children (SOCH) is a non-profit organization, established in 2012 and registered under Society Act XXI of 1860 with the Registration No-23515/51 at IGR Cuttack, Odisha. SOCH, through its various flagship programmes, have impacted to a great extent at various levels of the society including children, youth and overall community development.


Qualification:
Post graduate in Rural development, Social Work, Social Sciences or in any relevant discipline from a recognized university.


Experience Segmentation
Total experience in development sector - minimum 5 years out of which a minimum of 3 years of work experience on sustainable livelihood, women SHGs, sales linkage of product


Role & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for formation and smooth functioning of women SHGs.
  • Planning, monitoring and implementation of livelihood interventions for women SHGs.
  • Responsible for facilitating in trade selection among SHGs, & organizing training & awareness programs on selected trades.
  • Orienting, counseling, follow up with women SHG members and conduct training for team building.
  • Ensure coordination with implementation and knowledge partners, consultants and experts in livelihood domain.
  • Ensure preparation of plan / estimates of the selected trade and monitor for smooth work execution and completion.
  • Coordinate for achieving the targeted sales through various micro level marketing / sales plans and strategies, where potential markets are identified & linkages for sales are done.
  • Networking with stake holders like Banks, Blocks, Govt. Authorities, Retail stores and Marketing Consultants for promoting products
  • Assist SHG to maintain proper record, facilitate internal lending and repayment process in a cyclic manner.
  • Help members to maintain record of daily sales, expenses and to track their family income monthly.
  • Maintain process documentation of daytoday activities & progress of SHG in terms of successful stories.

  • Strong Management, leadership, interpersonal, project design, operation & coordination skills
  • Excellent Stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities
  • Proactive approach, strong decision making and problem solving ability
  • Excellent documentation skills in English
  • Strong work ethics, work under pressure, effective time management, keen to detail, passionate about work.

Essential Knowledge Required:
(General Understanding, Planning tools & IT expertise)

  • Good understanding on women SGHs, Rural & Urban Slum livelihood for women, Market linkage of products
  • Sound understanding on various profitable & sustainable business trades for women SHG members.

Salary:
Up to ₹27,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
  • Yearly bonus
