    Description

    They will collaborate with other developers at various levels throughout the software development process. In this position, it's essential to be a team player with sharp attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Moreover, having good time management skills and the capacity to prioritize tasks is key, with guidance from Project Technical Lead(s) and Operations Manager.

    The main responsibilities include handling the server-side logic for databases, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating frontend components into applications.

    They are also tasked with guiding fellow developers in Ruby on Rails and conducting code reviews. Demonstrating technical problem-solving skills during these reviews and occasional pair programming sessions.

    Day-to-day tasks involve coding, rectifying errors in software, adapting it to new hardware, enhancing performance, and/or updating interfaces. They will also participate in system testing, collaborating with designers, and/or internal marketing/sales projects on technical matters such as software system design and maintenance.

    Ultimately, engineers are focused on producing high-quality, innovative, and efficient customized software applications that adhere to coding standards and sound technical design principles.


    Engineer Responsibilities:
    • Write well-designed, testable, efficient Ruby code based on project specifications and constraints
    • Integrate software components into production-ready software that meets all requirements
    • Develop and follow software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
    • Document and maintain software functionality
    • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and/or documentation to help identify requirements and solutions
    • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
    • Manage deployment and maintenance of applications
    • Comply with project plans and industry standards
    • Integrate software components and third-party programs
    • Recommend and execute improvements
    • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
    • Confer with Project Leads to obtain information on constraints and requirements
    • Ensure operations' integrity by maintaining information confidentiality, if necessary
    • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development issues
    • Work with Git

    Hub Tasks:
    • Creating a branch, merging a branch, and creating commits
    • Investigate and suggest tools/libraries to Project Leads
    • Display curiosity in exploring and mastering new languages and technologies within their domain

    Requirements:
    • 2+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
    • Strong understanding of architecture principles for building modular, maintainable, and efficient web applications
    • Thorough knowledge of best practices in version control, specifically Git

    Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
    • Familiarity with formal project management concepts
    • Experience in React, Angular, and/or JavaScript
    • Experience with containerized applications
