    What will you be doing as a member of Colgate's Analytics team?

    As an Analytics Engineer, your role involves managing the final stages of data pipelines and providing data to Analytics Leads and Data Scientists for utilization in dashboards and models

    Your focus will be on expanding and optimizing our data, data pipeline architecture, data flow, and collection for various Advanced Analytics projects across Revenue Growth Management, Market Effectiveness, Forecasting, and more.

    You are a specialist in your field -

    • Explore new data sources
    • Ensure clean, transformed data that's ready for analysis
    • Apply best software engineering practices to analytics code (version control, testing, continuous integration,...)
    • Maintain data documentation and definitions
    • Support Data Scientists and Data Analysts by applying transformations for ML models on datasets
    • Collaborate with Data Engineers to establish the right data and systems for Commercial Analytics
    • Assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
    • Work on data initiatives and ensure consistent efficient data delivery architecture across projects
    • Strive for greater functionality in data systems
    • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements like automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, enhancing infrastructure scalability, etc
    • Build and maintain efficient data pipeline architecture in cloud environments

    Connect the dots -

    • Define data architecture and pipelines for insights and KPIs
    • Conduct root cause analysis
    • Assist with organizational change needs as part of market data reporting tools and processes

    • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analytics Leads
    • Work closely with business partners across different regions
    • Aim for enhanced functionality in data systems

    • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, enhancing infrastructure scalability, etc
    • Build and maintain efficient data pipeline architecture in cloud environments

    Qualifications

    What you'll need...

    • Bachelor's degree, Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field desired
    • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Information Technology or Digital Marketing
    • Basic knowledge of data visualization techniques & tools - Experience with dashboarding tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, DOMO, Sigma, etc., and programming languages like Python, Java, R desired
    • Intermediate proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
    • SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with various databases
    • Experience conducting root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
    • Comfort working with extensive internal and external data, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy
    • Experience supporting multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with third-party data like syndicated market data, Point of Sales, etc.
    • Deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry
    • Familiarity with Colgate's processes and analytics tools (for internal candidates)
    • Willingness to experiment with new tools and techniques
    • Strong facilitation and project management skills
    • Ability to maintain composure and handle challenging situations thoughtfully
    • Experience with Data Flow, Data Pipeline, and workflow management tools in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, etc.)
