    Description

    Overview:

    The role of a PCB Design Engineer is vital in the development and manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This professional is responsible for creating and optimizing PCB layouts to ensure functionality, performance, and manufacturability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaboration with hardware engineers to comprehend design needs
    • Creation and review of PCB designs and layouts
    • Optimization of designs for signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC compliance
    • Conducting circuit simulations and analysis
    • Selecting suitable components and materials for PCB designs
    • Validation and prototyping of PCB designs
    • Close collaboration with the manufacturing team for successful PCB production
    • Participation in design reviews and contribution to continuous enhancement
    • Development and maintenance of PCB design documentation
    • Resolution of technical issues related to PCB design and layout
    • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices
    • Assistance in designing test plans and verification procedures
    • Support in troubleshooting and debugging PCB-related issues
    • Ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • Demonstrated experience in PCB design and layout
    • Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
    • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design
    • Experience in high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis
    • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB fabrication processes
    • Capability to execute design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
    • Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and compliance
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Effective communication and collaboration aptitudes
    • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and validation
    • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Attention to detail and a dedication to quality
    • Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning
