Details of the role and how it fits into the team

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup.

We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities).

As part of our team you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

Your key responsibilities

Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles and Agile methodology across the Fintech Enablement team.
Engage with the business sponsors and stakeholders to implement requirements according to agreed timelines.
Partner with QA to ensure quality solutions are delivered to end users and provide Level 3 support when needed.

Your skills and experiences

Experience in Core Java, Database Technologies (e.g. SQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, MongoDB), microservice architectures, Kubernetes containerization platforms (GKE, OpenShift).
Practical experience with build tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle), version control (e.g. Git) and continuous integration systems (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins).
Understanding of industry standard processes and tools for version control (e.g. Git), build (e.g. Maven, Gradle), continuous integration systems (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins) and support (CI/CD, incident/problem/change management etc.).
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
