Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.


GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

The current opening is within the CIB Support and Risk P&A in Mumbai which forms part of the Corporate and Investment Bank LOB within GF&BM India.

About the Team

LOB Description


The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Support and Risk Planning & Analysis (P&A) Team manages the CIB Support and Risk forecast (monthly/weekly) as well as the annual budget process working globally with Business manager.

The team is responsible for producing expense budget for Support and Risk groups and analysis that are informative, accurate, reliable and timely.

Key stakeholders include CIB CFO, CIB P&A Head, Corporate P&A, CIB Line of Business P&A and CIB Product Controllers


Team Description


The CIB Support and Risk P&A manages the periodic (monthly/weekly) updates of the Expense and Headcount forecast, providing updates to CIB Management and Corporate P&A.

The team is involved in the monthly, quarterly and year end close process providing details on variances to forecast and period on period variances.

The Forecasting team works very closely with the Support group business managers and CFOs across the Finance organization. The Support and Risk P&A plays an integral role in the CIB annual budgeting process as well as ad-hoc analysis related to all things Support groups


About the Role
The Support P&A Associate role provides a unique opportunity to interact with multiple CFOs of lines of business. It is an opportunity to learn about the Finance organization in a fast-paced environment.

The individual will join the Forecasting Team and be responsible for managing the expense and headcount forecast file including Plan inputs from BMs.

Driving budget rounds. Additional responsibilities include managing Indirect Expense allocation, Hierarchy for business units process for Support groups.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Serve as one of the points of contact for the Support group BMs and CFOs related to forecast and budget updates.
  • Work closely with BMs to collect headcount updates and calculate direct expenses budget.
  • Perform monthly forecast vs actual checks and updates forecast accordingly.
  • Participate in Monthly, Quarterly, and annual business reviews with CFOs.
  • Manage Indirect expense allocation in and out from Support and Risk groups.
  • Manage Standard and alternate hierarchy submission for support groups.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
  • Conduct adhoc MIS reporting and analysis, in conjunction with other members of the team.
  • CA/MBA (Finance).
  • Minimum of 35 years Financial Service industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationship with other teams.
  • Ability to multitask multiple requirements under considerable time pressure
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality of work
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work with teams across different locations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
