    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester with 5-10 years of experience to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for our backend Java applications.

    You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated tests using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Ready API, and potentially others.

    You will collaborate closely with developers and other testers to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our applications, utilizing both automated and manual testing techniques.

    Responsibilities:


    Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for backend Java applications using JUnit, Mockito, Ready API, Selenium (for API and potential UI automation), and other relevant frameworks.

    Identify areas suitable for automation and manual testing, prioritizing based on effectiveness and efficiency.
    Perform manual testing to supplement automated tests and identify areas not covered by automation.
    Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality, design effective test scenarios, and ensure testability.
    Execute automated test suites, analyze results to identify defects, and troubleshoot issues.
    Report bugs and defects in the ticketing system.
    Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability.
    Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and tools in backend automation testing, API testing, and potentially UI automation.
    Continuously improve the automation test framework, processes, and best practices

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    5-10 years of experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on backend Java applications.
    Proven expertise in Java programming language and object-oriented principles.
    In-depth experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
    Experience with API testing tools like Ready API and potentially SOAP UI.
    Experience with Selenium for backend API testing and potentially UI automation (a plus).
    Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) a plus.
    Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) a plus.
    Experience with manual testing methodologies, including black-box and white-box testing.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
