Solution Specialist position offers the opportunity to truly shape the business and go beyond the current state of renewable business in a team of passionate experts.
Should have knowledge in design of hybrid renewable energy systems like Solar PV, Wind Energy systems, Battery Storage, etc. The person shall manage the entire design of BESS including coordination of multi-discipline activities.The engineering activities shall cover the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods.
Working knowledge of energy storage using BESS, including, but not limited to, battery chemistry, duty cycling and performance, design optimization for efficiency and reliability, battery safety and battery inverter systems.
Responsible for Technical Non-Conformity Management in the project execution phaseWork closely with the global Competence Centres & HQ China to continuously improve efficiency, engineering standards and quality,
Knowledge on different applications of battery systems like power smoothening, ancillary services, peak shifting etc., and determination of battery profile, dispatch optimization for different applications.
Designs for different types of battery enclosure type solutions like cabinet type, container type, building type storage solution. Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with Batteries / PCS / HVAC / FFS for different enclosure systems.Investigates design factors such as function, durability, performance, efficiency and contractual requirements. Drive the technical due diligence from initial screen until turnover to the project management group for the implementation phase
Compare emerging battery technologies and competing energy storage technologies identifying their strong and weak points.
Latest technology evaluation on storage, developing and managing technology roadmaps for microgrid applications with integration of grid power/solar power/wind power/DG set/storage etc.
,Knowledge on manufacturing & quality process of various battery technologies is a plus. Deep understanding on battery value chain and identify the main challenges at each step
Work collaboratively with business development teams by planning and delivering to provide client focus and support, to help grow our activities in battery energy storage
Responsible for clarification, preparation and negotiation of all technical aspects of EPC and TSA offers and contracts with clients, jointly working with our colleagues in China HQ
Lead technical due diligence for BESS to translate technical market and customer requirements into winning Envision solutions
Define external work packages, soliciting and evaluating offers and awarding together with Envision procurement
Responsible for negotiation of all technical aspects with suppliers (e.g. electrical & civil BOP, consultants, etc)
Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as engineers on the client side, authorities, as well as contributing to regional committees
Skills /Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's in Electrical engineering / Power Systems / Power Electronics / Systems Engineering
At least 15+ years of experience in the areas of Renewable Energy Systems like Solar PV, Battery Storage, Hybrid Energy Systems.
On BESS minimum 8 Years exp.Proven project engineering and delivery experience of energy storage projects in an engineering or consulting environment
Preference will be given to candidates with experience of doing system studies
Strong commercial awareness and demonstrable track record of success in a technical engineering role
Combines entrepreneurial drive and enthusiasm with willingness to establish value adding engineering processes and standards
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to prioritize completion of tasks to schedules
Excellent team player who is a pro-active self-starter
Good communication skills and intercultural awareness
Global travel as required for training, workshop, project related.
Experience working with other nationalities/countries and exposure to international market requirements
