Description

An IT Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales revenue by promoting and selling IT products, solutions, and services to businesses and clients. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing customers, understanding their IT needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet those needs. The IT Sales Representative should have a strong technical understanding of the products they are selling and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Generation:

Identify potential clients and businesses that could benefit from the company's IT products and services.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.

Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
Understand clients' IT challenges and requirements and propose suitable IT solutions.
Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns.

Product Knowledge and Presentation:
Maintain a deep understanding of the company's IT products, services, and solutions.
Clearly and effectively present technical information to clients, tailoring presentations to the client's level of technical understanding.

Solution Proposal and Negotiation:
Prepare customized proposals and quotes based on the client's needs and budget.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients while ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.

Sales Process Management:
Track and manage sales opportunities in the company's CRM system.
Follow the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring all necessary steps are taken.

Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams, including pre-sales, technical support, and marketing, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on client interactions and market trends.

Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and deals in progress.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in IT sales or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT products, solutions, and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into customer benefits.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest IT trends and developments.


In an IT sales role, success is often measured by achieving sales targets, building lasting client relationships, and contributing to the company's growth and profitability.

The role requires a balance of technical expertise, communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Salary:
₹15, ₹35,000.00 per month
