Responsibilities:


  • You will independently prepare credit risk analysis reports on assigned clients (business and financial analysis with focus on credit issues) and recommend rating grades for the clients and facilities/exposures
  • You are expected to well understand and keep yourself regularly updated on the Credit Ecosystem
  • Tools & Applications, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, Systems required to perform the Credit Analysis of Real Estate Borrowers
  • Portfolio Management: Enhanced, improved and indepth portfolio monitoring; Coordination with the Commercial Real Estate Market Surveillance team; Interact with Community Development Banking Risk Underwriting Team, Client Executives, and other internal product partners
  • You are expected to develop a strong expertise in the North America Affordable Housing sector; build strong knowledge of clients covered; regularly track sector and regulatory developments on an ongoing basis; continuously monitor the client portfolio for risk rating appropriateness and perform offcycle risk rating changes as needed
  • Internal Systems Data Management: system data ownership, quality and timely updates for internal reporting and portfolio reviews
  • You are expected to develop and maintain open communication channels with Underwriters and Credit Executives; independently handle all calls/rating discussions with Underwriters and Credit Executives
  • Contribute to various firmwide projects focused on improving efficiencies, risk technology, enhancing risk reporting, regulatory compliance, etc.

Work timings:
Starts at 1:00 p.m. IST to provide coverage to the US counterparts


Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • MBAs (with Finance specialization) / CA. 58 years of experience in credit risk; experience in real estate sector and/or credit analysis of Financial Institutions is preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and financial statements, including ratio analysis, CAMEL model, and basic accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of various banking facilities/products (such as revolving lines of credit, counterparty lines, etc.) and their documentation
  • Attitude and aptitude to learn and enhance knowledge of credit risk analysis; and passion for real estate sector
  • Deadline orientation; strong attention to detail and high accuracy; and ability to work proactively & independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Strong & Effective communication skills both verbal & written; and good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively present analysis and build strong relationships with stakeholders at various hierarchies
