Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of new trade repository reporting implementations or new regulatory reporting change projects
  • Detail and syndicate the business requirements of new regulatory reporting change projects with Operations and Technology, to allow each line of business to establish the functional/build requirements for their area to comply with new reporting regulations
  • Conduct impact assessment of regulations and communicate the regulatory change landscape to various cross asset operational teams and technology
  • Influence the shape of future regulatory technical standards (advocacy) through trade bodies, industry working groups, regulators and partnering with government affairs, legal and compliance.
  • Initiate the design, delivery and implementation of strong and sustainable control frameworks and operating models in the regulatory reporting environment.
  • Initiate the execution of Control activities within the CIB Operations Regulatory Reporting space, such as the Annual Report Testing exercise
  • Initiate the design, delivery and implementation of strong and sustainable Alteryx & Tableau solutions to enhance controls for regulatory reporting.
  • Actively participate in global programs in the regulatory risk space so that Asia requirements are aligned with global initiatives including strategic architecture for regulatory reporting, regulatory reporting standards, risk assessment (recertification) and deep dives.
  • Provide oversight on regulatory reporting issues / breaches, ensuring that root causes are understood and remediation plans in place.
  • Conduct deep dive on aspects of the APAC Regulatory reporting controls environment
  • Plan and report project status to senior management, identify, mitigate, resolve risk and issues across team & ensure completion of assigned projects
  • Facilitate and lead periodic calls with cross line of business, cross regional stakeholders to discuss ongoing change or controls activities.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, facilitate decisionmaking by providing right level of information and timely escalation when required
**Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Understanding of OTC Derivative products (Credit, Rates, FX, Equities and Commodities)
  • Understanding of Global Transaction Reporting (GTR) requirements for MAS/ASIC/HKMA would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience in project implementation or regulatory reporting controls like completeness, accuracy & timeliness for Global Transaction Reporting (GTR) would be beneficial.
  • Experience in Alteryx or Tableau's for building effective regulatory reporting controls, would be beneficial.
  • Excellent project management & execution skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and deliver against deadlines.
  • Significant knowledge of operational processes and controls, with good understanding of risk, controls and quality assurance functions.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint
