Internal Audit exists to help the Board and Executive Management protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of the organization by providing a self-directed and objective assurance activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations.

It helps the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes, whilst remaining in line with the recognized professional standards for internal audit.


Ability to communicate and explain, in a convincing manner, sharing with shareholders clearly and transparently that enables them to easily understand and improve.


To support the execution of Internal Audit activity within the AXA XL division to provide timely, self-directed assurance and in doing so, to improve the control culture.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Executes assigned internal audit tests to time and quality standards in line with the approved audit plan.
  • Assists in the development of internal audit programs and endtoend audit processes.
  • Assists in drafting audit reports.
  • Gains and maintains an understanding of key business risks and regulatory requirements in the areas/entity covered.
  • Interacts efficiently and empathetically with the audit team and management.
  • Assists in issuetracking activities arising from Management Action Plans.
  • Is responsible for their professional development by proactively identifying relevant training needs, as well as developing their professional network.
  • Quality audit work papers, (Audit Execution, Issue Followup, GIA Reporting) delivered on time meeting GIA performance indicators.
  • Observations identified are relevant and highlight the key issues and root causes appropriately.
  • Seeks and acts on feedback and the Impact of audit work is recognized positively by the relevant audit team and business/management.
  • Awareness and understanding of key objectives, activities, risks, regulatory environment and business developments are demonstrated.
  • Relevant AXA policies and standards are adhered to.
  • Evidence of working proactively with managementonmanagement action plans and issue closure, leading to sustainable resolution.
  • Evidence's skills and competencies are developed.
  • Support and influence the audit team in areas under review and wider IA initiatives.
  • Demonstrates AXA values and diversity and inclusion.
  • You will report to the Audit Manager.
