    Description

    Job Description :
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team.

    As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications to meet our organization's business needs.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


    Responsibilities :

    • Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
    • Develop technical specifications and documentation for mainframe applications.
    • Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed code.
    • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in mainframe applications and provide timely resolutions.
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards and best practices.
    • Work closely with infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain mainframe applications in production environments.
    • Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and trends in mainframe development to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to other team members and endusers as needed.
    • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including security and compliance requirements.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Strong proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
    • Experience with mainframe development tools and utilities, including JCL, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.
    • Knowledge of mainframe database systems such as DB2 or IMS DB.
    • Familiarity with version control systems such as Endevor or Panvalet.
    • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality solutions.
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
