Job Description:


  • Software Installation and Maintenance: A DBA is frequently involved in the initial installation and configuration of a new SQL Server, or another database.
  • Creating and maintaining database standards and policies
  • Data Integrity Management: A database administrator (DBA) is in charge of ensuring the integrity of data stored in a database.
  • Extraction, transformation, and loading of data: A database administrator (DBA) is in charge of a database's performance. This includes making data available when needed and safeguarding it against unauthorized access.
  • Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc.
  • Monitoring Performance: A Database Administrator analyzes database performance to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Designing database backup, archiving, and storage strategy
  • Data Handling: A database administrator is in charge of planning, implementing, and managing the systems that hold data for a company.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience with relational data systems (e.g. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience in writing complex Stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Experience managing and tuning production databases.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
  • Experience integrating data through extract, transform, load (ETL) process.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code practices (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
  • Experience with cloud data systems.
  • Advanced understanding of database theory and structure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information

Good to have

  • Familiarity with programming languages API
  • Advanced certification as an MCDBA or MCSD for.
NET is advantageous.

  • Certification in PostgreSQL has desired
