    Job overview and responsibilities:
    Exciting opportunity to be a part of a brand-new best-in-class product & engineering team to create the world's best and largest airline. An AdTech architect plays a strategic role in designing and overseeing the implementation of advertising technology solutions. Responsibilities include creating scalable and efficient architecture, integrating new technologies, and ensuring compatibility with diverse platforms. This role requires deep expertise in AdTech, a strong understanding of system scalability, and the ability to provide technical leadership for the development team. Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.

    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in adTech, influencing the continuous improvement of our systems.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the seamless operation of our ad-serving infrastructure.

    • Design implementation roadmap and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

    • Analyze all quality attributes such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, reliability, and cost of a product.

    • Translate technical project details (e.g., the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software) into a language that management and non-technical stakeholders can understand.

    This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.



    Qualifications

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in an information technology solutions architecture role
  • Extensive experience in adTech, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale ad delivery systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of adTech standards and protocols (VAST, VPAID, OpenRTB) and real-time bidding (RTB).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Previous experience in architecting solutions for programmatic advertising and ad exchanges
  • Experience with online user data privacy a plus – including best practices, and Consent / Identity Management tools
