Store - Junior Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a store assistant responsible for assisting in identifying materials, segregating GRN completed materials, collecting materials based on Bill of Materials (BOM) or Purchase Orders (PO), updating physical stock against system stock, managing Hindi-speaking laborers, and implementing 5S principles, your duties will be varied and crucial to the smooth operation of the warehouse.

Identifying Materials:
The store assistant will be tasked with identifying different types of materials based on the specifications provided. This involves understanding the characteristics and properties of each material to ensure accurate handling and storage.

Segregating GRN Completed Materials:

Goods Receipt Note (GRN) completed materials need to be separated from incoming materials to avoid confusion and ensure that only verified items are included in the inventory.

Collecting Materials Based on BOM or PO:Following the Bill of Materials (BOM) or Purchase Orders (PO) provided, the store assistant will gather the necessary materials from the warehouse shelves or designated storage areas.

Updating Physical Stock Against System Stock: It is essential for the store assistant to maintain an accurate record of physical stock levels and update the system accordingly. This helps in preventing stockouts or overstock situations.

Managing Hindi-Speaking Laborers:

If there are Hindi-speaking laborers in the warehouse, the store assistant may need to communicate with them effectively, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure smooth coordination among all team members.

Implementing 5S Principles:

The store assistant should actively participate in implementing 5S principles - Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain - to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualification:
A Diploma in Engineering or a Basic degree is required. Freshers up to 1 year of experience are preferred.

Job Location:
Mathampalayam, Coimbatore.

Salary Range:
Starting salary at ₹10,000 with accommodation provided.
