Position:
Purchase / Commercial Officer


Experience:
2-3 years in Manufacturing Company, Procurement of Spare Parts
(mechanical and electrical)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the availability of required spare parts and machinery items while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand their requirements and specifications, ensuring that procurement activities align with production needs.
  • Identify reliable suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, negotiate terms, and establish effective relationships to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory management team to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts departments to ensure timely payment processing and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and lead times, to management on a regular basis.
  • Stay updated with market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements in procurement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of procurement documentation, contracts, and records.
  • Implement and follow ethical procurement practices, considering sustainability, social responsibility, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ability to maintain tracker sheets from PO to GRN in Excel and report MIS to Seniors

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 23 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry, dealing with spare parts and machinery items.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain principles.
  • Proficiency in using Tally and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
  • Problemsolving skills and the ability to address issues proactively to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards related to procurement.
