    Director, Software Engineering

    The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

    What you'll achieve

    As a Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a global development team across various functions. You will collaborate with Product Management, Program Management, Architecture, Procurement, and others to deliver our client software solutions timely and with high quality.

    You will:

    • Develop long-range plans and create specific strategies to achieve goals.
    • Establish objectives for software development teams and manage these teams to ensure goals are met within the specified timeframe and products/projects meet quality standards.
    • Participate in and be accountable for cross-functional initiatives and collaborations that could significantly impact business results.
    • Anticipate future business needs, provide recommendations, and implement policies that influence areas of the company beyond your functional domain.
    • Act as a technical consultant and expert; your sphere of influence may extend to individuals outside the company.

    Essential Requirements

    • Manage teams across multiple disciplines, functions, and locations.
    • Lead software application development teams focusing on Windows development/programming in C# (on .NET Framework/.NET Core).
    • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and cloud teams to create solutions for our clients.
    • Use judgment to develop a strategic vision within your functional area. Implement operational policies and directives, and communicate progress toward goals and objectives.
    • Develop team members through challenging yet suitable assignments, assess their work, and communicate progress regarding career development and objectives.

    Desirable Requirements

    • Need 15-22 years of software application development experience in a professional capacity
    • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience at the Director / Senior Director tier
