A Day in the Life

  • To achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the assigned area, by driving the promotion of Medtronic diabetes portfolio to Health Care Providers (HCP) i.e. doctors/ specialists and patients/end users.
  • Effective Area business planning and management in terms of organization, administration and expense planning and control.
  • To raise the level of awareness of Diabetes products among customers and increase the demand for company's product line, expand business and brand loyalty.
  • To ensure that the company's agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.

Business Planning & Business Management Effectiveness

  • Prepare accurate monthly/quarterly sales plan and meet the planned target with a deviation of less than 10% from plan.
  • Strategize to accomplish the planned target and Work towards product wise sales growth in the area and increase in market share of products.
  • Identify, establish, develop and maintain productive working relationships with key diabetes decision makers and influencer within the Area.
  • Work closely with the Regional manager in the budgetary planning and achieving annual budgets
  • Exceed sales plan & increase market share while managing expenses with budget.
  • Budget and control expenses and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities
  • Represent company at industry conferences and maximize potential by targeting specific customers to gain sales leads, and pursue opportunities to promote the company's product range.

Customer Management

  • Ensure optimal customer coverage and assess activities planned and executed by the team for key customers in the area
  • Undertake HCP facing and Patient Facing sales activities, when required
  • Actively participate in clinical environment by providing technical consultation as required.
  • Probe to understand and confirm customer's needs, handle objections and gain commitment.
Manage consistency in supply and help customers meet their goals. Check the meeting frequency of Team with KOLs and the no. of KOLs influenced


Communication

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships within area and company to ensure maximum sales support and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate marketing plans / intelligence/competitor activity promptly, including potential sales leads, and information regarding product price or account activity to Regional Manager

Must Have:
Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor in Science / BE in Biomedical Engineering PG degree in Business Management is preferred
  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience of handling a Concept selling based Therapy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
  • Ideally demonstrated success in a sales function of technical equipment
