Duties

Basic Function of the Position:
The position is located in the Public Diplomacy (PD) Office, U.S. Embassy New Delhi.

The Strategic Planning, Research, and Analysis Coordinator reports to the Strategic Planning, Research, & Analysis Specialist and has no supervisory responsibilities.

The incumbent provides the Public Diplomacy (PD) section and the broader Mission with research, data, and analytics to advance Integrated Country Strategy (ICS) goals and U.S.

National Interests through effective public diplomacy (PD).

S/he will advise on the research, design, planning, and implementation of PD efforts to affect the perceptions, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors of Indian audiences.

S/he will monitor, measure, and assesses the impact of public diplomacy, making recommendation to improve performances and effectiveness. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


EXPERIENCE:
The position requires three years of experience in research or analytics or marketing or mass media.

Education Requirements:

The position requires the completion of a Bachelors degree or higher in statistics or marketing or economics.

LANGUAGE:


Level 4 (Fluent) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.**

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.

  • FS on LWOP and CS with reemployment rights**IMPORTANT: Applicants who claim status as a preferenceeligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD214 ("Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty"), equivalent documentation, or certification. A "certification" is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
