About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.**We are looking for an
Advisor Planning & Analysis (Power BI) to be responsible for handling Group function's management reporting, cost analysis and planning & forecasting in accordance with Rio Tinto policies.


What the role entails
This position is an excellent opportunity to join the regional team based in Delhi. This dynamic team is responsible to deliver optimal controllership support to Group Functions and PG/BU. Working in a collaborative environment the team is responsible for coordinating and ensuring a high quality of all accounting, financial reporting & analysis and planning & forecasting are delivered to all Business Units

Scope:

Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:

  • Contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of Group Function's processes by monitoring and managing offshore services delivered including different project initiatives to improve our shared service proposition.
  • Responsible and accountable for the Group Function's cost analysis & reporting of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for management reporting purposes.
  • Responsible and accountable for supporting business in formulating forecast and finalizing the annual plan.
  • Liaising with customers on daytoday delivery performance and managing day to day customer satisfaction.
  • Participate and lead in projects on new upcoming additional scope: new customers, scope (i.e., Business Units and processes not currently covered) and new services.
  • Contribute to immediate daytoday issue resolution and to their longterm improvement in coordination with the offshore team and in alignment with the Group policies.
  • Responsible to create, report and follow up on key operational activities and project KPIs.
  • Participating in designing and implementing global processes including standardization, automation, & resolution of process inefficiencies, problems, and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with adequate internal controls, SOX standard and Rio Tinto's accounting policies.

About yourself

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Accounting certification (CA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Power Query and Power BI preferred.
  • Some understanding of SAP and advanced working Excel skills.
  • BW Reporting knowledge shall be an addon.
  • Good business acumen and ability to interact effectively with colleagues.
  • Proactive and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
