- Design, construct, and manage interactive dashboards for real-time monitoring and analysis of clinical data using Python or R.
- Work with front-end developers to incorporate dependable and scalable elements into applications, supporting the development of intelligence solutions for data collection, transformation, and analysis.
- Address problem-solving and troubleshooting for any issues that may arise during clinical trials, generating and executing reports within clinical reporting systems utilizing SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.
- Establish and maintain robust data systems that consolidate information from various sources, such as EDC systems, Veeva EDC, and clinical databases, and set up data pipelines for efficient data flow and processing to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct end-to-end testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve glitches and performance concerns, while integrating rapid data storage solutions.
- Obtained a Masters / Bachelor's degree in Life Science or a related field in computer science, Information Technology, clinical information management, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a programming background, preferably having worked at least 5 years in clinical data management systems.
- Thorough understanding of protocols, CRF standards, and EDC data structure.
- Proficient in working with programming languages such as Python, R & R Shiny.
- Familiarity with ETL and clinical data review models.
- Hands-on experience with BI applications like Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST, as well as other APIs.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Background in project management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of GxP and guidelines related to drug development.

About the department
Our Clinical Data Operations & Insights team consists of approximately 400 professionals located across India, Denmark, and North America. Data Management operates within Development, overseeing clinical drug development globally to ensure adherence to consistent international standards, regulations, and ethical business practices while delivering effective products that significantly impact patients and society. A key component of the department is the recently established Data Review and Cleaning group based in Bengaluru, aimed at centralizing and modernizing data review and cleaning procedures, introducing new approaches, and creating innovative toolkits to drive transformation.
The Position
As a Lead Clinical Programmer, you will play a crucial role in implementing data analytics reports and dashboards, collaborating with programmers to achieve desired outcomes. You will closely collaborate with data managers, clinical data facilitators, and IT specialists to define requirements and provide data solutions.
