Description

As a System Administrator specializing in network infrastructure, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the organization's network systems.

You will work closely with the IT team and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of network devices, including firewalls, routers, LAN switches, VPNs, and various networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.

Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management: Configure, deploy, monitor, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, routers, LAN switches, and VPNs.
Firewall Administration: Implement and manage firewall rules and policies to ensure network security, including managing access control lists (ACLs), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
Routing and Switching: Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and manage LAN switching environments, including VLANs and spanning tree protocols (STP).
VPN Implementation: Set up and maintain secure VPN connections for remote access and sitetosite connectivity.
Network Monitoring: Implement network monitoring tools and techniques to proactively identify and resolve network issues and optimize network performance.
Network Security: Collaborate with the security team to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of network resources, including vulnerability management, patching, and security incident response.
Vendor Management: Work with network equipment vendors to resolve technical issues, manage hardware and software maintenance contracts, and stay up to date with the latest product updates and releases.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, configurations, and procedures. Generate reports on network performance, capacity, and incidents as required.
Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and participate in project deployments.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and experience in managing firewall technologies and security policies.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and LAN/WAN technologies.
Indepth understanding of VPN technologies and protocols.
Experience with network devices and technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
Knowledge of network security best practices and industry standards.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), or equivalent certifications are a plus.
