Planning:
Plan for immediate response to all emergency calls including mock drills
- Fire safety inspection round of the plant as per schedule.
Assurance:
- Provide necessary guidance to emergency response crew during routine shift activities and during emergency operations.
- Ensure availability of all firefighting equipment/systems and communication systems.
- Assure performance of fire vehicles and jeeps.
- Support management on critical Fire safety related matters
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with fire safety standards, procedures and checklist
- Maintain Log book, Occurrence book and other shift related documentation.
- Good discipline and conduct in fire station
Job description for the position
Job responsibilities:
- Attend all emergency calls in first turn out including mock drills.
- Provide necessary guidance to shift crew during routine shift activities and during emergency operations.
- To conduct emergency drills as scheduled made by the Fire Services Incharge and maintain an excellent discipline during the aforesaid activities.
- To plan day to day manpower availability and deployment for maintenance of firefighting equipment viz. Fire extinguishers, hydrants, monitors as per schedule.
- Measure performance of fire vehicles and jeeps.
- Maintain fuel & lub. Oil consumption data of Fire tender.
- To maintain records and data of all shift related activities.
- To ensure documentation of all shift related activities and carryout analysis of various activities
- To suggest & ensure corrective measures based on the analysis.
- To ensure material availability and inventory management of main fire and sub store at fire stations
- To carryout Fire safety inspection round of the plant as per schedule.
- To prepare incident report of his shift.
- To carryout preliminary investigation all incidents and release first information report on incident
- Participate in Risk Assessment sessions at plant level for all critical jobs and ensure adequate fire prevention measures during critical jobs in the plant including plant turnarounds
- To impart firefighting training / demonstration to all employees and contractors' personnel.
- To organize and conduct daily fire drills and PT as per schedule in A shift.
- Ensure all scheduled activities in his shift at all fire stations
- Ensure that training is imparted during shift as per the shift training plan
- To maintain Log book, Occurrence book and other shift related documentation.
- Ensure good discipline and conduct in fire station.
- Ensure good housekeeping in and around fire station building.
- Inform supervisors immediately on important events during the shift.
- To maintain records of charged store at respective fire station.
- Develop/Evaluate the Risk Assessment (RA) sheet for the specific job and make necessary modifications therein, sign it with date and issue it to the maintenance crew.

- BSc (Fire) with 56 years of relevant fire service experience

Education Requirement:
BSc (Fire) /BSc (PCM) / Dip in Mech. /Chem. /Elec. with - Sub officer course from institute of repute
Experience Requirement:
BSc (Fire) + 2 years
- BSc (PCM) or Dip in Mech. /Chem. Engg. With Sub-Officer + 2 years relevant experience
