Account Executive at an Industry News Channel or Media Company
Responsibilities:
- Perform all accounting tasks, including managing financial records, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations, TDS, and GST.
- Develop and implement forms and manuals for the accounting and bookkeeping team, providing guidance and direction for their daily work activities.
- Proficient in working with Tally ERP 9 to maintain financial data and generate reports as required.
- Demonstrate expertise in using Excel to analyze financial information, create financial models, and present data in a clear and organized manner.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including raising invoices and processing payments in a timely manner.
- Oversee the overall accounting and financial processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly management information system (MIS) reports to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and provide financial insights for strategic planning.
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role in the media industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, TDS, and GST regulations.
- Proficiency in using Tally ERP 9 and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive problemsolving skills and a positive attitude.
Salary Package:
- The annual salary package for this position is in the range of 3.5 to 4.0 lakh, depending on qualifications and experience.
Pay:
₹350, ₹400,000.00 per year
