    Overview

    This role sits within GBS and business partnering the Pepsi Lipton Joint Venture between PepsiCo and Unilever. As a company in its own right, the joint venture has its own board of directors. Whilst in constant contact with its parent companies, it runs as a separate entity on a day to day basis. All the employees come from and maintain their contract with one of the 2 parent companies, and in this role you are given a unique perspective as you gain access to both.

    As a global company the variation in countries, bottlers and manufacturing sites makes this a very exciting place to work. We have 5 regional organisations operating across North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa Middle East, Asia and Greater China (AMEA) and we are constantly breaking new ground with launches into white markets.

    RTD tea is a key growth driver in LRB and it's forecasted to grow faster than many other beverage categories. The category is fast-evolving and many new players have recently been tapping into the potential of ice tea as a healthier beverage vs soft drinks. In parallel, small brands have been capturing emerging trends (premium, functional benefits, experimental etc) and elevated expectations around the category.

    The Analytics Insights Analyst is part of Insights Delivery for Pepsi Lipton US Business. The purpose of this team is to deliver business impact through data and industry leading analytics, all in close collaboration with the PLP Insights team and the BU Marketing/commercial departments in US.

    As a member of the team, he/she will lead the translation of briefs/business question, preparing relevant data set and analysis through solid understanding of execution metrics and the business levers distribution on key packs/flavours, etc. He/She will also look for smart and efficient ways of creating analytical dashboards to drive data democratization.

    Within the GBS Organizaiton, this role will dock into the Pepsi Lipton GBS team, but the person in this role will also maintain a strong linkage to the PBNA GBS team and will create synergies in terms of reporting with both teams. The ideal candidate would also have a working knowledge of key pepsico data systems (IRI, iBEV, etc.) and have some knowledge of the hierarchies and key focus areas within those (Divisions, Customers, etc.)

    Working in the joint venture is one of the few opportunities to work in a small, entrepreneurial company within a larger framework of Unilever and PepsiCo. You will have the opportunity to work across many areas of the marketing agenda and make a direct impact on the US Business.

    Responsibilities

    Own and maintain existing reporting landscape (IRI/Circana POS and Panel data, iBev)

  • Manage and deliver all Insights scorecard , Power BI dashboards including updating data and pulling out key insights, conduct periodic data quality checks
  • Assess automation and harmonization potential, transform the existing reporting into PowerBI dashboards; develop new reports if needed to identify opportunities for improvement

    • Act as a data and analytics GO TO expert (IRI/Circana POS and Panel data, iBev)

  • Support all Ad Hoc data requests for Business Deep Dives, Firedrills, etc. for the Insights Team with expertise in both POS and Panel data in Circana
  • Main data support for year end situational analysis – pull together data for templated pages as well as any additional analyses
  • Unlock added value from internal data sets by becoming the go – to expert on Circana Panel, POS as well as iBEV, and be able to deep dive into data from all these, and additional data sources as needed
    • Qualifications
  • Strong experience and expertise across multiple standard continuous data sources such as Nielsen/Cirana (IRI) and Circana/GFK/Kantar Consumer Panel
  • Understanding of Performance KPI's from Nielsen/Cirana (IRI) and Circana/GFK/Kantar Consumer Panel and how to operate with databases, technicaly equipped with advanced Excel knowledge and PPT visualisation skills
  • Strong analytical skills , able to synthesise and integrate learning from multiple sources and see the connections in data, trends, events etc to generate insights
  • Willingness to learn and unlock value from additional data sets throughout the organization such as iBEV, MRI Simmons, etc.
  • Good communication and presentation skills to distil complex data and information into actionable insights
  • Good knowledge of Consumer Insights principles, especially equity tracking, innovation testing and Demand Spaces deployment (nice to have)
  • Ability to work independently without day to day manager engagement
  • Strong influencing skills to set the business agenda with senior stakeholders - demonstrates track record in establishing analytic insights as a driver of growth and business success
  • Ability to combine data, judgement and experience to make effective decisions in complex situations and when there is a lot of uncertainty or ambiguity
