PURPOSE OF JOB


The NOC (Network Operations Center) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Voice is responsible for providing expert knowledge and support for voice communication systems and technologies within an organization.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, telecommunications specialists, and business stakeholders, to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of voice communication services.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in telecommunications, information technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in voice communication systems administration and management, with expertise in PBX, VoIP, and UC platforms.

SKILLS & JOB COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Indepth knowledge of voice protocols and technologies, such as SIP, H.323, RTP, and voice codecs.
  • Familiarity with voice network architectures, call routing protocols, and telephony services.
  • Strong understanding of voice system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques, including call quality analysis and voice packet

KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the implementation and configuration of voice communication systems, including Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Voice over IP (VoIP), and Unified Communications (UC) platforms.
  • Collaborate with network engineers and telecommunications specialists to design and implement voice network architectures, protocols, and connectivity.
  • Work closely with system administrators to ensure the proper integration and connectivity of voice systems with underlying network infrastructure and services.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and quality of voice communication systems, using appropriate network management tools and techniques.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot voicerelated issues, such as call quality degradation, voice packet loss, jitter, and latency.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize voice system performance and capacity to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and business requirements.
  • Analyze call statistics, patterns, and trends to identify opportunities for improving voice system efficiency, call routing, and resource utilization.
  • Implement Quality of Service (QoS) measures to prioritize voice traffic and ensure optimal voice quality and reliability.
  • Conduct regular testing and simulation exercises to validate voice system functionality, call flows, and disaster recovery mechanisms.

Salary:
₹500, ₹600,000.00 per year
