    ROLE

    The role of the operation analyst is to follow the checks and procedures that are established by the management for the clearing and settlements department.

    OBJECTIVE

    To assist with the start-up of all operations systems. Liaise with global teams with a comprehensive handover and ownership of tasks.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

    The role reports directly to Deputy Head of Operations

    JOB LOCATION: Kolkata, West Bengal, India

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Check that all operation systems (i.e., back office, middle office, reconciliation's, exchange connections) are up and running.


    • Check the previous night end of day (EOD) processes were successful and liaise with vendors and global operations if any issues.


    • Check the middle office trade flows are as expected and perform any actions required.


    • Liaise with clearers ensuring no outstanding business is awaiting acceptance.


    • Perform start of day (SOD) position checks, matching front end platforms versus client back-office system, resolving breaks with clients and trading platforms.


    • Start the reconciliations for T+1 cleared business between exchanges, third party brokers and internal booking systems.


    • Rectifying T+1 breaks on all markets, liaising with front, middle and back offices worldwide in a timely fashion

    ROLE SPECIFICATION: Operation Analyst


    • To perform daily/monthly exchange fee reconciliations across all markets to ensure Organization and underlying clients are charged at correct rates.


    • Reconciliation of MiFID and EMIR regulatory transactions.


    • Check regulatory reporting files have been submitted successfully.


    • Any other tasks which may be designated by the head or deputy head of operations, in line with the role's progression.

    KEY SKILLS


    • Good reconciliation capabilities.


    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.


    • Maintain effective oral and written communication.


    • Moderate to advanced excel skills necessary.


    • Ability to adapt system knowledge and learn new systems.


    • Good presentation skills to present any ideas or improvements in a clear manner.


    • Able to manage and organise work independently.

    ASX, B3, CME, DME, Euronext, EUREX, HKFE, ICE, JPX, KLSE, MGE, SGX, TFX, TMX.

    Systems Used

    Various exchange traded derivative (ETD) clearing platforms, 3rd party vendor ETD trading, clearing and reconciliation tools
