Overall responsibilities and duties**:
The Plant Quality Technician is responsible for analyzing, measuring products, participate in problem solving initiatives.
The main missions of the role are:
- General measurements (CMM, Laboratory,...) according to define planning and specifications.
- Ensures the proper use of SPC in production according to the control plan.
- Define inspection / measurement instructions.
- Trains operators in the use of measurement instruments.
- Coordination of testing required with suppliers and / or customers.
- Assistance to other sectors in new development.
- Makes statistical studies for the measurement systems (MSA,).
- Performs calibration and R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility) for all measuring equipment.
- Declares any new equipment suitable for use after checking that the calibration certificate is present and updates the inspection, measurement and test equipment files.
- Makes a blocking notice if non conformity (devices and / or results) is detected and sends the information to the persons in charge and escalate to the Plant Quality Manager for further decision.
- Preparation of NON-Conformity reports.
Qualifications:
Minimum education level:
Quality Engineer Bachelor or Technicial Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Nice to have previous experience in metrology / laboratory.
- Nice to have knowledge of SPC.
- Nice to have previous experience of production processes; metallurgy, plasturgy; painting, welding,...
Skills and competencies:
- Good knowledge of SPC, Laboratory, Metrology, CMM, Static test,
- National and international measurement standard expertise.
- Good understanding of specifications, technical drawings and their interpretation.
- Nice to have knowledge of process techniques (e.g. welding, molding, bending,)
- Good in verbal and written communication skills. Good level of English.
- Ability to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong team player.
