    Application Development Senior Advisor

    Position Overview:

    The Application Development Senior Advisor will be responsible for coordinating software development across multiple teams and ensuring that appropriate design methodologies were applied while delivering technology solution. Possesses knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities and the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications. Converts business requirements and logical models into technical application design using application design activities, tools and techniques. Designs, plans and executes application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit, IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.)
    • Works closely with client, IT management and staff to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives
    • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions, recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and / or integrates purchased solutions
    • Collaborates with all agile roles at every layer of the Agile Framework (Team Layer, Program Layer, Large Solution Layer, and Portfolio Layer) to understand delivery timelines and dependencies
    • Works closely with Application Delivery Lead, Technical Leads and Project Manager to escalate and resolve project issues in a timely and effective manner
    • Ability to think and act strategically with a big view of the end-to-end solution requirements
    • Knowledgeable about how matrixed organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network; understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures
    • Accountable for understanding established architectural conclusions , CIGNA technical standards, governance processes, and defined analysis methodologies

    Qualifications:

    Required Experience / Qualifications:

    • At least 10-12 years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of six years of experience application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience
    • Demonstrated history of solid communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrix environment
    • Experience with Agile software development methodology, with an understanding of SAFe Agile framework and principles
    • Solid analytical, troubleshooting and management skills who is detail-oriented and organized that is self-directed with excellent teamwork ability
    • Familiarity with NET Core, Angular and cloud computing (AWS), and relational database (Oracle)

    Desired Experience / Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • Solid Planning abilities - demonstrated history of setting milestone dates for a group of project tasks and ensuring their completion Experience in Healthcare industry and Pharmacy systems a plus.

    Location & Hours of Work:

    • Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.
    • Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required.
