    Description

    We are looking for a Corporate Process Safety Lead who will be responsible for leading the Process Safety function and will be based out of Surat.

    Qualification: - BE Chemical (only)

    Experience:- 12 to 15 years

    Candidates working for Chemical Manufacturing companies / Pharma - API will be considered for this role.

    The Job responsibilities will include :-

    • Support major capital projects in design consulting, technical safety assurance and start-up assistance, Lead process hazard analysis and other safety reviews of chemical processes and projects
    • · Driving initiatives towards Implementation of PSM program based on CCPS guidelines and provide all sort of Technical support to Sites
    • · Lead Operational Risk Evaluations within NFIL Site operations, HSE risk reviews within areas of technical expertise. PHA Coordinator – Hazop, What if, Activity based Risk assessment, human factor, facility siting ·
    • · Develop & deploy process safety tools and technology that provide high value to sites
    • · Lead investigation of process safety incidents, employing root cause analysis tools · Provide technical leadership and promote best practice sharing on work groups
    • · Develop & deliver training in hazard identification, risk assessment techniques, process safety in design and safe operating practices for plant engineers and key operating personnel
    • · Develop and maintain engineering practice. Coach, mentor & develop people in all aspects of process safety engineering
    • · Detailed Risk Assessment by Process Safety Studies as Thermal screening and chemical reaction hazard evaluation, criticality class evaluation of the reactions and powder safety analysis · Develop & deliver trainings in Hazard identification, Risk Assessment Techniques
    • · Hazop planning, Hazop study, tracking of recommendations & its compliance
    • · Process Safety self-audits for improving effectiveness of PSM program
    • · Lead external/customer process safety audit and ensure consistent, efficient and timely compliances
    • · Work with site HSE heads to discuss findings, agree prioritisation, develop consistency, co-develop action plans, benchmark and improve oversight of sites.

    In addition, will be responsible for :-

    Handling of Process Safety Assessment projects namely

    1. Emergency Relief sizing o Non-reactive system (single phase with API 520/521 & 526)
    2. Reactive system (02 Phase sizing with DIERS, Fauske Method) based on VSP/Phi TEC-II data & process safety lab support o Automations (DCS/PLC/SIS system)
    3. Hazardous Area classification o Hydrogenation Safety Assessment o Chemical reactivity & compatibility evaluation o Solvent transfer system -overflow protection & inertization o Assessment of toxic & hazardous chemical storage & handling activities
    4. Implementation of PSM as per CCPS & OSHA guidelines
    5. Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership on the process safety excellence program and continual improvement
