KONE Supply Chain also drives the Safety, Quality, Environment and Sustainability work across KONE.

    Now we are looking for Head - ITEC Quality to our India R&D team in Chennai, India.

    Responsibilities and the key activities

  • Acts as ITEC quality manager for ITEC locations (Chennai, Pune, Test Tower)
  • Is responsible for quality reporting (Monthly Results, Rush meetings, Forecast and Budget rounds) in Unit.
  • Make sure that the local quality targets that are aligned with global targets and supports the continuous improvement of this measurement.
  • Facilitates development and implementation of practices supporting and proactively strengthening 'built in quality'
  • Facilitates Continual Improvement activities, culture and mindset in ITEC teams by collaborating with & engaging operative management. Ensure that Continual Improvement Teams (CIT ) are operating effectively on local and on global level. (Including GEC and GSS performance)
  • Direct connection with Tribes leaders for the Quality Developments.
  • Responsible for ITEC unit internal/external audits , Corrective Action System (CAs) and Preventive action system.
  • Builds a network of wide set of stakeholders from different units/functions and collaborates to enable Quality improvement in Full Chain.
  • Actively joins Global KONE Safety and Quality team with global collaboration

    • Requirements for the position:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manager level role is a must, preferably in Quality, Safety.
  • Bachelor's or Master Engineering degree. (Mechanical, Electrical , Computer science or equal)
  • Knowledge of Quality tools, methods, systems, measurement systems and QlikSense Apps
  • Ability to work in a cross functional / matrix teams and in international and multicultural environment and/or company
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Preferably certified ISO auditor.
  • Problem solving and Root Cause analyzing skills, and Lean & Lean Six Sigma are seen are must requirements. Six Sigma certification is recommended.
  • Knowledge in Software process development and SW process continual improvement
  • Knowledge and experience of KONE product development processes
  • Collaboration and Leadership skills, skills working in KONE Global matrix/SAFe organization. Skills to act as team leader.
  • Proven track record in continual improvement skills and capabilities in making an impact, including leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) with wide variety of audiences
