    The Role

    BuzzFeed's team in India is on the lookout for Video Editors to join our roster for potential upcoming assignments on projects by BuzzFeed India. As a prominent independent digital media firm, BuzzFeed releases a vast array of fresh content daily, spanning various platforms and formats. Given the scale of our publishing, we are always keen to hear from experienced professionals who can contribute on a project basis. Sharing your details here is the optimal way to ensure that as new projects emerge, our team can identify and engage with skilled individuals.

    How This Works:

    • Submit your resume, reel (or 3-5 work samples), and other materials below
    • Receive confirmation of your submission and have your details retained in our records
    • As projects arise, our team will review submissions to find suitable candidates. If your expertise matches our project requirements, you will be contacted to discuss interest and availability

    You will

    • Collaborate with Producers on editing various BuzzFeed India video content
    • Edit numerous unscripted and scripted videos across different formats
    • Compile edits and incorporate feedback from Producers and team members
    • Experiment with different edit versions, exploring varied directions
    • Maintain organization and adhere to internal project naming protocols
    • Identify and communicate any important points to Producers for upcoming shoots
    • Create video thumbnails using Photoshop
    • Generate any basic graphics required for videos in Photoshop/Premiere and occasionally After Effects

    You Have

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in editing digital content
    • Proficiency in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, After Effects, and third-party applications
    • Familiarity with codecs, image formats, resolutions, frame rates relevant to digital media trends
    • Adaptability and the ability to adjust to shifting timelines
    • Passion for and understanding of editing principles
    • Experience in creating and incorporating GFX/VFX
    • Capability to balance and enhance colors, and mix and adjust audio in Adobe Premiere
    • Advanced grasp of Post-Production and Production processes
    • Working knowledge of social media and digital video platforms
    • Keen attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
    • Proactive, positive, and collaborative demeanor, with the skill to steer projects from intake to delivery
