    Legal Associate


    Job Summary

    We are looking for a Legal Associate who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. In this role, you will be assisting all functions within the legal department.

    Primary Skills:

  • Domain knowledge on Contracts (Contract drafting, negotiating, redlining, abstraction, summarization)
  • Review and interpret contract provisions critically; Possess a complete understanding of industry specific risks associated with clauses.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial contracting, other principles underlying the law of contracts across geographies and industries, global standards, and best practices.
  • Should have excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly (with both internal and external stakeholders), collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Should be able to create standard operating procedures, workflows and training material

    • Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with SaaS/IT contracts and knowledge of legal framework for IT & ITES, exposure to procurement contracts, subcontract, M&A would be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of corporate legal requirements including but not limited to the Information security, compliance of IP, Data privacy, and others; facilitate and conducts legal research, if needed
  • Familiarity with corporate entity filings and legal proceedings

    • Experience you'll need:

  • 2-4 years of post-qualification experience with an in-house team (or law firm experience).
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and passionate about technology (experience with IT, Software-as-a-Service, or cloud service providers is preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with a variety of different teams.
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office programs as well as Google suite.
  • Should be able to work under defined KPIs/ SLAs and other parameters and guidelines
  • Excellent interpretation, analytical skills, reasoning and logical ability
