We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Subject Matter Expert

  • Facility Agent services syndicated loan agreements for the borrower on behalf of all lenders, including position management, notifications, asset servicing, cash and letters of credit for principal, interest and fees.
  • Loan Admin of HSBC bilateral (Customer/RM instruction) and participation loans (syndicated as lender, Agents/RM instruction) for servicing, cash and letters of credit for principal, interest and fees.
  • Common Depository is appointed by the ICSDs to service physical securities.
  • Agent services are provided to Issuers to ensure that new issues and programs are managed into the exchanges for cash, securities and corporate actions (Issuing, Paying, Transfer, Account, Registrar).
  • Escrow services are provided to ensure the smooth running and risk mitigation of new issues by managing cash, securities and collateral as an independent third party.
Requirements


What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Degree in finance and accounting and/or related qualifications and/or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge in accounting principles and fundamentals of accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of Custody, Depository, Capital Markets and Financial Instruments
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective Time Management and ability to multi task work and priorities to meet defined deadlines
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently, write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills.
  • Ability to build excellent rapport and working relationship with other departments and jurisdiction; thus ensuring smooth operations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately
  • Able to deliver under challenging environment with tight timelines
  • Proactive in implementing and driving solutions.
  • Should have demonstrated behavior in line with HSBC values
  • Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Must be aware of the operational risk scenarios associated with this role and act upon pertinent risk (if any).
  • Responsible for the implementation of Group Compliance Policy as is applicable to this role.

What additional skills will be good to have?_ _**- Prior work experience or academic background in any of the below listed product line would be preferred:
  • Corporate Trust / Bond Issuance
  • Syndicated Loan Operations
  • Additional qualifications in finance or accounting i.e. CA/CFA/MBA/CS/ICWA etc. would be preferred
