    Position Title: Key Account Chef – Food Services

    Location: Mumbai

    Function: Sales

    Reports To: Head – Food Services

    Percentage of Travel: Approx 50%

    Job Overview:

    The primary focus of this position will be supporting India Food Services initiatives focused on India for Chain Accounts. This role is functionally a part of Food Services Commercial organization and works cross functionally with ITQ and Marketing.

    Responsibility:

    External (60%)

  • Presents General Mills as a strategic partner to leading national chain accounts and build strong relationships with the technical team/ Chefs in the customers' organizations.
  • Lead discussion to build credibility with chef / operator. Uncover needs, pain points, and focus. Assess BOH operational constraints and customer ways of working.
  • Showcases General Mills Product Portfolio to Chain accounts at their production facility.
  • Assess customers' menu for potential gaps and assess where GMI product solutions can be proposed.
  • Cold calling/ Leveraging their network to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
  • Ensures documentation of all developments to maintain partnership with customer is maintained.
  • Coordinate and lead presentation of new items to existing customers.
  • Create a basket selling strategy for sales team and cuisine selling approach.
  • Internal (40%)

  • Aligns with sales plans and objectives of each chain account.
  • Organizes and conducts ideation sessions with R&D and chain account customers to identify potential new products.
  • Partner with internal team members from departments such as operations, finance, marketing, quality assurance, and legal to provide solutions and drive projects forward.
  • Work with the Innovation, Technology and Quality team to create commercially feasible prototypes basis the customer brief/ needs and present products to customers during product presentation meetings.
  • Lead the trainings for Sales teams (Key Account Managers, Key Account Executives and Chefs) for Product and troubleshooting in market.
  • Lead the Innovation shows with Key Chain account Customers.
  • Creates and Maintains a Recipe bank for applications of FS Offerings
  • Education & Experience:

  • Minimum/ Preferred Degree: Bachelor's
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Hotel Management
  • Minimum years of relevant experience: 7 years
  • Preferred years of relevant experience: 10-12 years
  • Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a cross functional team and key food service customers
