    Description

    Location – India

    Job Responsibilities:

    Develop and manage a portfolio of iron ore Mines/exporters.

    Establish and maintain an extensive procurement network with domestic iron ore miners in India.

    Build up data on iron ore mines, reserves, production, domestic sales and exports of iron ore.

    Develop market research and market intelligence.

    Negotiate and execute iron ore trading contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    Collaborate with the operations teams to ensure the smooth execution of contracts and timely delivery of products.

    Monitor market developments and provide regular updates and insights to the management team.

    Develop and implement strategies to expand company's presence in the Indian iron ore market.

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree and above.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in iron ore trading, with a focus on exports.

    In-depth knowledge of iron ore specifications and their impact in steel making.

    In-depth knowledge of contracts, letters of credit, export documentation, logistics and shipping.

    Strong network and relationships with iron ore miners in India.

    Deep understanding of the Indian domestic iron ore market dynamics and regulatory environment.

    Working knowledge of the iron ore futures market.

    Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to gather and analyze market data and make informed trading decisions.

    Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally as required.

    Proficiency in English and relevant local languages.
